His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum and the accompanying delegation arrived today to La Moneda Presidential Palace in Santiago in which he was received by the President and her government officials and assistants. The official welcoming ceremonies were made to His Highness in the Palace court, where H.H. inspected the guards of honor who saluted the honorable guest of Chile, after which President Michelle Bachelet welcomed his highness hoping a seccessful visit and opening a new page of cooperation and friendship relation between United Arab Emirates and the Republic of Chile. On the other hand, H.H. Shaikh Mohammad bin Rashid Al Maktoum and Bachelet witnessed the signing of bilateral agreements ceremonies related to avoidance of dual taxation on income taxes and air transport and international shipping companies capital, in addition to signing a Memorandum of Understanding to enhance cultural relations and exchanges between the two countries and cooperation in this field. The agreement and memo were signed by Foriegn Minister, Shaikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan and Heraldo Munoz, Chilean Foreign Minister, as a representative of Chilean government.
